Learn songs as patterns with Pattern Toolbox Program

Some wise guitar guru once said “without songs you are nothing” and that is true. Every guitar player knows how to play few songs but sometimes you might wonder why some of the top players can play, memorize and learn so many songs and in such a short time. Our time for practicing songs is limited and there is a way to learn music more efficient way. It is not just about ability to play songs mechanically or having better memory. It is about how we use the memory.

Overview

With Pattern Toolbox Program you will teach yourself the workflow of playing, understanding and hearing most used chord patterns in western music. These patterns are repeated in every famous song and nothing feels better than the ability to recognize and learn them fast from your favorite songs.

By the end of the Pattern Toolbox Program, you will be able to:

  • Play 15 core chord patterns and their inversions (inversion is a variation made from the core pattern. For example FAB4 pattern C-G-Am-F can be inverted to C-F-Am-G = first counter clockwise inversion).
  • Play each patterns bassline and chord progression individually in 7 different keys (C-G-D-A-E-B-F in Major and Am-Em-Bm-F#m-C#m-G#m-Dm in minor).
  • Play chord degree movements to any kind of direction or combination from the root or not from the root.
  • Play CAGED chords fluently everywhere on the neck.
  • Understand the difference between diatonic and non-diatonic chord movement.
  • Understand how bass degree differs from chord degree.
  • Play more complicated blues chord patterns like jazzier chord movements and blues in minor.
  • Play bossa nova chord patterns.
  • Play gypsy swing chord patterns and strumming technique.
  • Understand the theory followed by the mechanical learning with daily workouts and lastly get used to the sound of the patterns.
  • Get used to sing basslines.
  • Learn songs as patterns and memorize them easier by categorizing every song to different pattern group.
